Ah-So Wine Corckscrew

A corkscrew is a tool for drawing corks from wine bottles. In its traditional form, a corkscrew simply consists of a pointed metallic helix (often called the "worm") attached to a handle, which the user screws into the cork and pulls to extract it.

However, if you open a lot of older bottles that are corked with natural cork then the Ah-So might be a great type of wine opener for you. An Ah-So is an elegant design and one of the most unique wine opener that does not damaged the cork like other wine opener do. This is because it has no helix shape screw and it is almost indestructible.

Also known as butler's friend or "Ah-So", the sampling of wines can be carried out using the twin-prong cork puller. It is also the one and only wine opener which can be used safely for brittle or broken cork. In addition, as Ah-so wine corkscrew opens wine bottle by constricting the cork, hence there's more chance of getting the cork back in.

How to use Ah-so wine Corkscrew

  1. Insert the longer prong between the cork and the bottle
  2. Wiggle it down till the other prong reaches the cork
  3. Insert the second prong and you would have two prongs on opposite sides of the cork
  4. Rock the ah-so corkscrew back and forth while easing them down
  5. Once the prongs are all the way down, twist the handle and lift
  6. By lifting, the cork would come up gripped between the prongs
